It operated for 100 years finally closing in 1978 due to the lack of attendance.

In 2007 parent company cedar fair which owns cedar point and kings island shut the amusement park down abruptly. Much of the park is now demolished and no roller coasters stand at the site anymore. Stricker s grove may be ohio s best kept secret as far as amusement parks go but some parks of its nature are forever lost to time.

Nonetheless telltale signs of the former amusement park can be seen in the landscape.
